23/04/11  Still Shots of the Rory Button s57 360 Sprintcar

A few photo shots of the s57 in pristine condition.
Rory time trailed at Borderline amongst the 410's and did an 11.4 which he was pretty happy with when you consider he was running a 360 motor.
The s57 was way too hooked for Rory all night and as he is learning a new craft that is to be expected as other more seasoned drivers also had their fair share of difficulties trying to tame the track. In the C main Rory started out of 14th and came home a creditable 4th position which transferred him to the back of the B Main where he came home in 9th position.
I am sure that we will see some more great results from Rory come next summer season of speedway racing
.

16/04/11 Rory Button Scores Maiden 360 Sprintcar Feature Win
Author: From The Outside Looking In

Rory Button what a great result Mate.
Your first full event in a 360 sprintcar - SRA 360 Sprintcars - 360 CHALLENGE  at Horshams Blue Ribbon race way.
Rory started at the back of the field as it was the first night in anger in a 360 sprintcar and did move forward in each heat race contested.
In the A Main he stared out of position 5 and greeted the chequered flag in first position. I am sure that if there is any one of you out there who owns a business down in the South East or in Victoria. Rory would like to hear from you as you will get value for money from sponsoring this team and driver.
You will also see Rory in action on Saturday night on night two of the Easter Trail at Borderline Speedway as he wants gain some more seat time before the end of the season even though it is against the big 410 sprintcars.

South Australian Wingless Title - A strong Night at the Bridge for Rory
Author: From The Outside Looking In

Heat 1 - Started out of Position 11 on the 10 lap journey and came home a strong 4th.
The race was eventful as Darryl Sloan inverted his wingless during this heat race.
Heat 2 - Started out of Position 6 and came home in 2nd spot.
The race was eventful as Sam Wren rolled his wingless end over end several times which bought out a solid red.
The amazing thing is that Sam then restarted and finished the race.
Heat 3 - Rory started out of pole position as wasover taken late in the race by Scott Bogucki.
A Main - Started out of position 3 in the 25 lap race. Rory had current SA1 Todd Wigzell on his tail tank most of the race. Looking for Rory to make a small error to get past as the race progressed Todd's car seemed to Fade  to finish in 4th and Rory was then unchallenged as he bought the s51 home in a strong third position.
Rory said the car just didn't have the speed as the other two place getters but was constant with it's handling. And with the V6 Holden motors you need to be on the gas all the time to keep the car competitive.
Congratulations to both Scott Bogucki & Joel Chadwick on their nights racing finishing first & second positions in the SA title.
Good Luck to Rory as on April 9th he is debuting the s57 Maxim 360 sprintcar at the All Stars Meeting to be held at Borderline Speedway on April 9th.
And also Rory is competing in a 40 lap Street Stock Feature race where the regular driver must swap with another speedway driver from other sections of speedway and should make for some very interesting racing.
Hoolagators has made the commitment to Rory that we will suppport him when he does progress into the 360 sprintcars. And we are  very confident that Rory will put on a good show of his talent as a  sprintcar driver in his first full season.

22/09/10 Rory Button Wins Inaugural Northern Territory Australian Wingless Sprintcar Title.
Author: From the Ouside Looking In.

On Saturday the 18th September the Australian Wingless Sprintcar inaugural Northern Territory title was ran at the Darwin Speedway. A total of 15 cars nominated for it and Rory Button and Cody Atkins were two South Australian drivers made the trip up North to contest the title. There was 3 x 10 lap heats which saw some close and competitive racing. The final was over 25 laps with Rory Button driving Bayden Knights car NT#18 started the final off pole after winning his 3 heats races from local driver Jarrad Gondoli. Jarrad got a great start and lead the way for the first 15 laps but Button took the lead with 10 laps to go and pulled away from there to take the win.
Congratulations Rory Button from Hoolagators as we proudly support Rory as we believe that Rory is the top Wingless Sprintcar driver in Australia
.

28/06/10 Rory Dominates in Warrnambool & Horsham Speedways.
Author: From the Ouside Looking In.

The wingless sprintcars were a supporting class at the Easter Trail at Warrnambool Speedway and we won the Sunday night feature and there was a stellar field of 23 cars and a top very racey track was provided on the night which led to some great wheel to wheel racing.
Rory won the first heat, ran third in his second heat & started of pole in the feature and showed them the way home.

Over the June long weekend Rory & the team ventured down to Horsham Victoria for a two night meeting and once again Rory showed his class with some excellent results. Although a large number of cars of Wingless Sprintcar didnt nominate it still was made up of top quality Victorian & South Australian cars. And there were some spectacular accidents and a casualty of one of the accidents, Fred Walsh has a broken wrist and we will side line him for a short period and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Rory had heat results of a 3rd & 4th place finishes along with three heat wins. For the final they inverted the top six and as Rory was top in the points he started out of position 12 and passed the entire field and stormed home for another decisive win in the s51.

Currently Tyson is in the United States and Rory told him I want something to go in his container mid to late June and it could be a even be a new frame as we are considering an upgrade with our trusty 2005 Cheeta we have been campaigning so far.
Rory is heading to Darwin to race in the N.T. Wingless Sprintcar Title on September 18th to compete in a Mates car.  Bayden Knight is the car's owner and it is a brand new car and unraced so hope we can get it sorted out very quickly and be competitive.
The team at Hoolagators are confident that Rory will give the N.T. Title a fair old shake as we consider Rory to be one of the shining lights in Australian Speedway and we can't wait to see Rory in action in a fire breathing winged sprintcar as we know that the has talent to burn.

09/01/10 Rory Comes Home 4th in South Australian Title

First of all we would like to congratulate Todd Wigzell as he took out the South Australian Wingless Sprintcar Title.
A report from Rory on his night of speedway racing
.
I dropped a heat race after spinning out while in 2nd position as Rory said he was trying to push too hard to catch up with the car in 1st.
Came home in first in another heat race and started out of position 10 in the other heat race and came home in 3rd.
This meant that Rory started
out
of 15 in the Feature
Race and came home in a strong 4th position. According to Rory the car felt good and we can expect a strong showing at the Australian Tile to be held in March.
Rory in action at Murray Bridge Speedway 27/12/09

Hamilton Speedway Results 30/12/09
A small field of 12 cars were in the pits for the Wingless Sprintcars.
In the first heat Rory started rear of field and came home in a stellar drive and won the heat race.
The second heat was the same as Rory this time started from Pole as he went to a flag to flag victory and was never headed.
In the Third heat started out of position six and finished 3rd.
The track for the Final could only be described as slick track and Rory won it as only 8 cars finished the final after some accidents and mechanical issues took out some the other competitors.
From Rory & the Team,
A Happy New Year to all our Friends & Supporters.
