For 27 years, North Wilkesboro Speedway sat dormant, without the roar of NASCAR® engines echoing throughout the legendary facility.

That ended when the NASCAR Cup Series® and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series® helped resurrect the North Carolina track during the 2023 NASCAR® All-Star Race weekend. At the end of the weekend that brought new life to North Wilkesboro, only one man could say that he was the first – and only – NASCAR® series winner at North Wilkesboro since 1996.

That man was Kyle Larson.

Larson opened the NASCAR® All-Star Race weekend with a pair of dominating performances. First, he took the No. 7 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports to Victory Lane in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series® race. He then finished the weekend sweep with a million-dollar payday as he cruised to the NASCAR Cup Series® All-Star Race victory with his No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Camaro for Hendrick Motorsports
